What is the difference between object removal and background removal?
Object removal fills the area you select while keeping the rest of the scene. Background removal creates a subject cutout with a transparent background and downloads as PNG. Choose the tool that matches your edit.
Can I adjust the selection on a phone?
The brush size is adjustable, and Undo, Redo, Clear and the eraser help refine your selection. Paint over the whole object and leave nearby areas unselected where possible.
Does the object remover always download a PNG?
No. Object removal preserves the PNG, JPEG or WebP output format returned by the service. It does not force conversion to PNG. The separate background remover continues to use PNG.
Do I need to sign up, and are images processed on my device?
No account is required, though human verification may be requested. Images and selection masks are uploaded to the processing service; object removal does not run entirely on your device.
